Guide to building a survey questionnaire with AI

Turn your research model into a complete questionnaire draft in minutes: a Likert scale for every construct, demographic questions and suggested sources.

Step 1 — Prepare the model

The AI assistant needs the names of your constructs and the number of questions (items) for each one. There are two ways to bring the model in:

On the Model designer page, click Build questionnaire — the model is carried over automatically.
Or upload a .json file saved with the Save model (.json) button on the canvas.

Step 2 — Enter the topic and build the questionnaire

Enter the Research topic (for example: “Factors affecting employee satisfaction”) and click Build questionnaire. A few minutes later, a two-part questionnaire appears:

Part	Content
Part I — General information	Demographic questions such as gender, age and occupation to describe the sample.
Part II — Scales	5-point Likert statements for every construct, laid out as Variable · Question · Source.

Step 3 — Review and download the Word file

Read every statement again and adjust the wording for your respondents.
Check the AI-suggested sources before you cite them formally.
Click ⬇ Download Word (.docx) to keep editing and put it on Google Forms.

Academic note

An AI-drafted questionnaire is a first draft. Compare it with the original scales, ask your supervisor for feedback and run a pilot survey before the real one.

Does building a questionnaire cost credits?

No. Building the questionnaire and downloading the Word file are both free.

How many points does the Likert scale have?

Statements are written for a 5-point Likert scale; you can switch to another scale when you edit the Word file.
